Where does Gordon House get its money?

We receive a lot of financial support from private and public donors, charitable foundations, and various governmental funds. We also receive funds from the United Way, City of Vancouver Community Grants, British Columbia Lottery Corporation and from a variety of our own fund-raising activities. 

We are also generously supported  by local businesses in West End area. Their in-kind donations are used as door prizes for participants of our programs, also as presents at the West End Cultural Celebration a.k.a. block party and other community events.

The proceeds from sales in Donna's Attic Thrift Store are used to finance our programs for children and to improve our services to the community.

Our school bus takes groups of kids, seniors and families on various out-trips.

Donations are always welcome! We accept clothing and small household items. Please note that we cannot accept furniture, TV, VHS or DVD player, books or magazines, baby strollers, car seats, high chairs, cribs or playpens, child carriers, computers, microwave oven, printers and microwaves.
